Build a Mailing List to Grow your Online Craft Business

I've had my Etsy shop for about two years now, and I would have to say one of the best things I've learned as a tip to grow your online craft business is to build an online mailing list, so you can keep in touch with your customers as you add new things to your shop, have sales or discounts, and even to attract attention to your blog if you're doing an item give-away.

I personally like the mailing list service at http://YourMailingListProvider.com. They have a couple of different plans that you can sign up for, but a mailing list service in general is a really smart and inexpensive marketing tool that can really help grow your online craft business.

Send out new mailings once or twice a month, often enough to remind your customers you're still out there, but not so often that you drive them crazy… and a newsletter can be a very valuable way to turn past customers into repeat customers.

Another thing to keep in mind, is how to get people to join your mailing list. If you use the YourMailingListProvider service, you might consider adding their widget to your blog or website. This way people can sign up right there online, with the freedom to opt in or out, at any time.
