Chinese Brush Painting Supply Sources

Chinese brush painting supply sources can be a bit tricky to find, but there are a few great online sources.

Chinese brush painting must be done with the Chinese color and specific brushes for Chinese brush painting. If you try to substitute Western watercolor brushes and paints you will not get the same results. Western brushes are just not cut in a way that will produce the desired results when used with Chinese brush painting techniques.

It can be a bit tricky to find the supplies in art stores; I've actually scoured art stores in a very large city in my area without a lot of luck. One of the best resources I've found is Blick Art Materials

Blick Art Materialsis an online store that specializes in art supplies. What I really like about Blick Art Materials is that they carry an enormous array of products. Any time I have gone searching for hard to find products for art projects (like brush painting supplies), I have always found them at Blick Art Materials.
